BNK Automotive hosts the EV Era Conference with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Kuwait

In an effort to learn more about EVs, ABCK-AmCham Kuwait in collaboration with BNK Automotive held a conference attended by AmCham Kuwait members from various industries.

The conference agenda included the benefits that come with adapting to electric vehicles, and the future of electric cars globally and in Kuwait for car brands and the end user.

Mohamed Al-Gharaballi, Brand Experience Expert at BNK, introduced the participants to Volvo’s history in the event’s beginning, achievements, and collaborations, as well as its impact on the EV industry.

Al-Gharaballi also explored the current state of the number of electric cars in Kuwait, and how the concept and longevity of electric cars has changed over the past few years.

“The automotive world is shifting towards electric vehicles, and BNK Automotive is honored to be in a position to help catalyze this change in Kuwait towards a brighter and greener future,” said Al-Gharaballi.

The Head of Strategy and Business Development at Polestar, Nils Mösko, confirmed that Polestar is the first purely electric vehicle brand to be launched in the Kuwait market.

He added: “This is a significant milestone that will pave the way for other manufacturers to offer an all-electric vehicle option in the future, which will enable users to have more choices and make electric vehicles more accessible to the public,”.

He also said that the brand’s success has been achieved through collaborations and partnerships that focus on decarbonization and sustainability. Polestar’s goal is to produce a climate-neutral car by 2030 without compensation.

In March 2022, Polestar revealed its second concept car, a high-performance electric roadster that builds on the design, technology, and sustainability ambitions of the Precept and showcases the brand’s vision for future sports cars.

The convertible hardtop represents an evolution of the unique design language first demonstrated by the Precept and emphasizes a dynamic driving experience. This concept develops a focus on sustainability and technology, with the aim of achieving greater circulation.

In August 2022, Polestar confirmed that a version of the concept will be implemented as the Polestar 6 Performance Electric roadster, and is expected to be launched in 2026.

The event gave the participants a chance to learn more about EVs and their impact on the environment.

As Kuwait looks forward to a new era of EVs, its aim is to increase road safety as EVs have many automated features that enable user safety, which is part of the many reasons why electric cars are the future not only for Kuwait but globally.

To finish off the event, BNK’s GIA provided the participants with food and drinks, and participants were able to schedule a test drive at Volvo’s studios for the Polestar 2.
