The Creative Industry Summit took place from September 23rd to 25th at Cairo Business Park.
Creative Industry Summit is the First and only Platform Encompassing MENA’s Creative Economy, Since the first edition of the summit, they have sought to create a boundary-pushing impact with the aim of fostering creativity by featuring thousands of speakers and presenting hundreds of hours of content aimed at defining and envisioning the future of the creative economy in a collaborative and practical way. They also create a space for our participants, from students to CEOs, to exchange and explore inspiring stories and innovative ideas that have become reality.

Their talks helped people broaden their horizons and left them inspired.

Creative Industry Summit and Sustainability
As always, the Creative Industry Summit sets the bar very high year after year. This year, they embarked on a journey of change and promised to witness a sustainable event and they wanted everyone to be a part of the change for a better, green and more sustainable world.
Their goal was to create a 100% sustainable experience, focusing on reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic in every aspect of the festival and REPEAT. The festival aimed to promote a culture of responsible consumption and promote a circular economy. Basically, their goal is to talk the talk and walk the walk.
This year, they partnered with many recycling market leaders to find alternatives to plastic, and they were also on ground to collect waste and complete the recycling cycle.
They are also committed to monitoring and auditing their festival this year to set the example and the bar for themselves next year and for the market as well.
Creative Industry Summit’s Sustainable Practices
- Water Bottles were collected for recycling.
- Disposable cutlery, cups, and plates will be minimized and replaced with environmentally friendly alternatives. Used plastic items will be sent for recycling.
- Name Tags were collected for second-life.
- The banners will be recycled and reused as school bags.
- They minimized printed flyers and replaced them with Digitized QR codes and screens.
- Giveaways were made with eco-friendly items.
- Garbage Bags were collected to be recycled.
Sustain Arabia was an important partner in this event with other sustainability partners such as: Egyption Clothing Bank, Banlastic ban-single use plastic and Nestle Egypt.
