During our presence at CEO Women, we had the opportunity to conduct an interview with Dina Abdelkarim; her insights are definitely a source of inspiration that deserves to be shared. In the following article, we invite you to embark on a journey through our amazing conversation with Dina, a remarkable individual whose words will leave a mark on your perspective.

Who is Dina Abdelkarim?

Dina is a Parliment Member at Egyptian Parliment; she is a Lead Anchor at Egyptian Radio and TV Union Ertu; she also works as a Writer at AlMasry AlYoum; and she is the Founder and CEO and TV host at Mediology.

Then, we were honored to ask her a few questions about sustainability and nowadays’s efforts to raise sustainability awareness.

Is sustainability awareness sufficient nowadays? And how should businesses provide it more?

Yes, there has been significant growth in sustainability awareness recently. This is primarily because most large companies now understand the importance of sustainability goals. They have a general direction not only for internal sustainability but also to meet the international criteria for sustainability and achieve SDG goals.

I noticed that in my program during the past period, we found a substantial presence and awareness of platforms that play a significant role in educating people about sustainability.

Sustain Arabia is one of the platforms that plays a crucial role in guiding people and raising awareness, and I am very enthusiastic about what you are doing.

Therefore, understanding sustainability is of paramount importance, as it marks the beginning of the path to implementing it in our lives. Sustainability should not only be discussed at conferences but should be a general direction for anyone involved in any project.

As a media professional and host of a program like ‘Shoghl A’aly’, how do you support startup companies that focus on sustainability?

I support all startup companies, and I see that the opportunities for people to connect and be heard are very important. It helps them stay connected with decision-makers and influencers, streamlining the path for them. This is a fundamental role of the media that we shouldn’t overlook or forget.
