The Egypt Energy Leadership Conference 2023 was held on the 29th, 30th, and 31st of October at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in halls 3 and 4.
Egypt’s ongoing aspirations for renewable energy are highlighted by a number of new mega projects in the fields of power production and grid infrastructure. By 2035, the Egyptian government wants to see 42% of the country’s electricity come from renewable sources. Power trading and the export of excess “clean electricity” would support regional economic and social growth. Some of the major drivers of the rapid infrastructure development required to satisfy the energy goal include partnerships, 4IR, digitization, and automation.
