Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed comes to see the Green Zone at COP28

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, toured the Green Zone pavilions during his visit to COP28, hosted by the UAE until December 12th.

His Highness toured several hubs and pavilions specifically focused on disseminating insights and solutions to bolster the worldwide transition to clean energy and accelerate climate action in alignment with net-zero objectives.

During the tour, His Highness visited the UAE’s House of Sustainability, a pavilion showcasing the UAE’s environmental history and plans to achieve the country’s net-zero goals, where His Highness emphasized how the UAE’s long-running efforts in sustainability have led to the country taking a leading role in promoting the global clean energy transition and reduction of carbon emissions.

His Highness’ tour extended to the pavilions of Abu Dhabi Global Market and Masdar, where he engaged with members of the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) initiative. During the visit, he commended the pivotal role of youth in spearheading the global sustainability agenda.

His Highness additionally reiterated the leadership’s dedication to empowering Emirati youth by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and opportunities to secure future employment in the sustainability sector. This commitment aims to further amplify their role in spearheading climate action initiatives.

His Highness also toured the Youth Hub, a platform that gathers young individuals to engage in discussions about climate issues. Additionally, he visited the Energy Transition Hub, designed as a space for connecting, collaborating, and exchanging insights, strategies, and solutions to address the challenges of climate change.

During his visit, His Highness was accompanied by His Excellency Ahmed Jassem Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, and His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
