Media Avenue company is hosting a roundtable discussion on Monday, September 28th, under the title “Investing in Wind Energy: Where Sustainability Begins,” sponsored by the New and Renewable Energy Authority. The event will feature participation from major global companies in the energy sector.
The roundtable will address the private sector’s vision with the government on how to accelerate the growth rates of new and renewable energy, specifically wind energy, within the Egyptian leadership’s strategy for sustainable development. It will also focus on the role of Egyptian companies in preparing the infrastructure for wind energy stations and exploring ways to increase their participation in future projects.
The event will include government officials, CEOs of companies, and experts in clean energy. It will discuss the challenges companies face, ways to facilitate procedures, and the experiences of local, regional, and international companies in implementing wind energy projects in Egypt.
The roundtable will also highlight the role of transportation and logistics companies in renewable energy projects, the impact of renewable energy on achieving sustainability and improving Egypt’s credit rating, corporate social responsibility, and the contributions of logistics companies in transporting turbines and equipment for wind projects.
The “Investing in Wind Energy: Where Sustainability Begins” roundtable comes after Egypt’s success in recent years in establishing a strong foundation for transitioning towards renewable energy. Egypt has provided a model for partnership with the private sector that has contributed to investment flows in solar and wind energy projects.
This is the second roundtable organized by Media Avenue, with the company hosting a similar event last year in the energy sector, attended by the President of the New and Renewable Energy Authority. The event also honored companies that have had the most impact in a celebration attended by major companies in the energy sector, experts, and government officials.
