During the Creative Industry Summit, we had the opportunity to speak with Ghada Fouad, Corporate Affairs & Communications Director at Beyti, delving into their corporate sustainability practices. Beyti stands firmly committed to rigorous sustainability standards in manufacturing, embracing solar energy to fulfill over 30% of its energy requirements. Beyond this, they operate a cutting-edge water treatment facility and the largest gas station in the Arab region, which supports seven neighboring factories in the Al-Nubaria industrial zone.
Central to Beyti’s sustainability efforts is their emphasis on recycling. They have forged partnerships, including a significant memorandum of understanding with their competitor, Juhayna, to expand their recycling initiatives to encompass packaging materials. Collaborations with Juhayna and Tetra Pak are underway, inviting more companies to join their recycling endeavors.
Notably, Beyti’s ‘Al-Kasib’ project takes a prominent role. Aligned with their mission, this initiative empowers young entrepreneurs from diverse regions, integrating them into Beyti’s sales force. By creating opportunities, these individuals become integral to Beyti’s ongoing success.
For Beyti, sustainability isn’t merely a corporate obligation; it’s a conscious choice deeply rooted in their belief that it’s the right path for both their business and the planet. Their efforts extend to reducing energy consumption, not only curbing long-term costs but also safeguarding the environment and illuminating the way for a brighter, greener future for generations to come. At Beyti, sustainability isn’t viewed as an expenditure; it’s seen as an investment – an investment in a world that’s more sustainable and environmentally conscious.
