Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ahmed, an expert in international relations, stated that Egypt attaches great importance to the concept of food security, considering it a part of Egypt’s comprehensive national security. This includes expanding agricultural crops, reclaiming land, and providing food for all Egyptians through healthy dietary systems that accommodate the population increase and global challenges that have affected the concept of food security.
Ahmed added during a phone interview on “Extra News” channel on Monday with presenter Nancy Nour, that the Egyptian state shares its experience and exchanges expertise with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to achieve sustainability and resilience in providing healthy food for Egyptians. He emphasized that this experience has proven its effectiveness, especially in the face of challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and global crises.
He continued that Egyptian goods are always available, which is a priority on the Egyptian state’s agenda and political leadership. In recent years, Egypt has strengthened the concept of food security through various means, aiming for sustainable, resilient, and healthy food for all Egyptians.
